  1. Why should we have tabs on these players as Vikings fans? I think everyone knows almost every draft pick should be focused on the offensive line. Like I said before last year’s draft. Nothing matters as far as skill or luxury picks if we can’t field a more solid pass protection.

    1. While I DO agree with you, it’s not out of the realm of possibility Spielman takes a skill position player.I don’t have the exact stat in front of me, but I believe it’s something like: Spielman hasn’t drafted an offensive lineman ever in the first three rounds (outside of Matt Kalil).

If it’s not never, it’s definitely not common.

Again, not saying I don’t agree with you – we definitely need o-line help. But if past drafts are any indication, Spielman may not go that route until later.

    2. AKSOTAN14,if you think we are going to fix the OL in the draft you’re kidding yourself.I do agree it needs to be a position of emphasis in the off season but unless slick Rick dives into free agency then don’t expect any miracle fix.As Brett mentioned, taking linemen early is not the Spielman way, although Zim is on the record as saying he is going to fix the OL,so maybe with his influence the draft tendencies might change.
Lets also not forget that with Sullivan & Loadholt back the line looks much better.

  2. nowhere else for this – what’s up with signing lowdermilk? hope it doesn’t mean smith is hurt bad

    1. Not sure what you’re talking about? Care to elaborate. Haven’t seen that the Vikings signed anyone.

    2. Yeah, that’s a worry for me also.Maybe it’s just insurance because Smith & Sendejo have both been hurt and another injury at the position would leave us very thin.

      1. According to ESPN,Harry returned to practice Wednesday on a limited basis.Sendejo did not practice.
After listening to Zim at the press conference, the Lowdermilk signing is an insurance policy.
