Mock Draft Update: All Aboard the Waynes’ Train

Welcome to v2.0 of my mock draft. A lot has changed since my first pass and the landscape of free agency and the draft is starting to take shape.

Most notably, my pick for the Vikings has change pretty drastically. Take a look here.

The draft still has a lot of unknowns, but I think we’ll see a lot of edge rushers fly off the board in the first 15 picks. Offensive tackles will dominate the back half of the draft, with a lot of notable wide receivers and defensive tackles filling in between.

As for the Vikings pick, I think it provides tremendous value and fits Zimmer’s approach to defense well and will serve the Vikings for the long term in the NFC North. What do you think of the pick?

As for some of the biggest jumps and drops from my previous pick…

Biggest jumps:
Kevin White: From 15th to 4th
Danny Shelton: Not projected (??) to 7th
Dante Fowler: From 9th to 3rd
Greatest falls:
Bernadrick McKinney: From 19th to out of the 1st
Eric Kendricks: From 18th to 30th
Ereck Flowers: From 11th to 25th

By the looks of some of these jumps and falls, it’s clear I’m not an expert in the matter at all. But the exercise in itself is fun. Tell me what you think!
