Vikings Make It Official: New Uniforms Are Coming

There were a few clues following the Greg Jennings signing, including the lack of a jersey presentation, that suggested the Vikings would be getting new uniforms in 2013.

The Vikings have now made it clear that new jerseys are on their way.

The team plans to reveal the new uniforms at their April 25th Draft Party and are also promoting their “Vikings Uniform Insider” campaign to help generate interest. ¬†You can learn more about the whole deal by visiting this link to the official site.

Wuhu new jerseys.
Chad Greenway quote about new jerseys:
“I was excited when i saw it for the first time. I was really pumped. it’s a simple uniform for us which makes it look better. You let the purple stand out which is was the vikings stand for. The new pant and uniform design are going to be a hit.”

Lets hope….really hope, they get it right this time. I like the simple stuff. And a darker purple, like the throw backs.

They should just google 1975 Vikings uniforms and go with those.
On another note, did you guys see that Brad Childress has been hired by Andy Reed at Kansas City to be his “spread game analyst and work on special projects”
That OC job for Cleveland sure didn’t last long.

I wonder if any of those “Special Projects” will entail skirt and wigs? Maybe limo service to the airport to pick up important players?

I was thinking “special projects” meant that he was in charge of getting Andy Reid coffee and doughnuts and being his “piss boy”.

I don’t miss the Chilly days for sure. Simple uniform sounds like it will be more traditional.

I consider the Childo years as the ‘Lost Years’
Stilll the worst coach in NFL history, in my opinion.

Hold it there, Fran, we’re talkin’ Abe Gibron, Dan Devine, Wayne Fontes, Dave Campo, Chan Gailey, Bill Arnsparger, Dan Henning, Leeman Bennett, Rich Kotite, Joe Bugel, Vince Tobin, Rod Marinelli, … Just sayin’, Fran, Chili’s got some stiff competition here – some real doozies.

Those are all good, solid, likely candidates Coach but I still hold out that Childress is their King.
If he hadn’t started out, from day one, as trying be both Bill Belichik and the smartest guy in the room at ALL of his press conferences (And failing miserably at both) I probably wouldn’t have started out disliking him so much but you can’t change history.
And by the way, you do realize you left Less Steckle off your list, right?

Very aware, Fran. I like Les too much to put him on that list. He had a very poor year, no question, but I know he’s a better coach that what we saw that year. I just can’t have his name near Abe Gibron or Dave Campo.

So, YOU’RE the guy who liked Les Steckle.
I had heard rumors over the years that there was someone out there that actually like the guy and now the mystery has been solved.

man, these qb contracts are huge. sure, flacco won the sb, but look at the exodus from the ravens afterwards, and now romo’s deal is even bigger? ridiculous!
however, this will make the phackers break the bank for rodgers, and hopefully cripple them a bit, cap-wise

I wanna say I’m glad they are replacing the costumes our guys have worn the last few years, but at the same time, it could get even worse. Greenway’s comments make me a little less concerned. I’m with you Fran, just go back to the ones we should have never changed in the first place.
