Minnesota Vikings 1500 ESPN KSTP Chris Long

The great Chris Long (@ChrisLongKSTP) swung by to join us for a spirited chat about the Vikings, the upcoming Super Bowl, and Sid Hartman apparently was part owner of the Minneapolis Lakers… We talked about if this was Teddy Bridgewater or Sam Bradford’s team going forward (from the player’s perspective), where and how much Adrian Peterson makes next year, how the evolution of college offenses have come at the expense of NFL offensive line play, why Laquon Treadwell may have struggled this season, and a whole lot more.

All that and more “Chad Greenway 2017?” chatter on this edition of the Purple FTW! Podcast!

Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott found Southeast Missouri State wide receiver Paul McRoberts for a five-yard touchdown strike in the second quarter as the South beat the North 27-16 at Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. In limited action Prescott led the South with one touchdown on 7 of 10 passing for 61 yards while earning the game’s Most Outstanding Overall Player. North quarterback Carson Wentz completed 6 of 10 passing for 50 yards with two dropped balls and solidified his spot as the top quarterback prospect in the 2016 NFL Draft.

With the Senior Bowl off and running, we had our intrepid reporter/draft guru/all-around baws Luke Inman (@Luke_Spinman) call and and give us a live update from Mobile. We chatted about the goings on during weigh-ins and practices, which draftees are earning some money down there this week (and who is losing some), and an interesting story about Vikings defensive backs coach Jerry Gray.

All that and other “Braxton. Effin. Miller” nonsense on this edition of the Purple FTW! Podcast.
