While the Vikings are in the midst of closing out the regular season, the salary cap specialists over at Spotrac are peeking ahead to the offseason. They recently published an article naming a contract extension candidate and roster bubble candidate for each NFL team.
The Vikings on Tuesday released fullback Johnny Stanton from the practice squad. There’s been no word on what the corresponding roster move will be but there could be a fullback swap. Ricky Ortiz (6-0, 236) tried out for the team last Friday.
