So sad to even have to write this but the Vikings lost again. This was a very tough loss against the Colts only scoring six points the entire game. Unfortunately with this sad news comes the fact that the Vikings have to win their next two games in order to even have a chance at going to the playoffs.

Hopefully the Vikings will work on winning their next two games, starting this Saturday playing against the Green Bay Packers.  If, but really when, the Vikings win this game, it will be the first time since 2009 that the Vikings have won both games against the Packers in one season.

This weekend the Vikings are playing on Christmas Eve and when thinking of this season something that first comes up is the love you feel for your family and the extra time you get to share with them. Since Christmas Eve and Christmas are during a weekend, I do not really have extra time off from work so I wanted something that I could easily make with Adam so we can spend some extra time together.

The Vikings won! I know I am thrilled and I am sure all of the other Vikings fans are as well.

This week the Vikings are playing the Colts who are pretty even with wins and losses. Hopefully the Vikings will take them down in order to try and secure a spot in the playoffs. If the Vikings do not win, a shot at the playoffs may not happen for them but I am going to think positive thoughts and send good vibes their way.

Previously we discussed one twist on a childhood favorite when I made peanut butter and jelly cupcakes back in week three and this week, we are putting another twist on a childhood favorite, grilled cheese sandwiches.

It happened again, the Vikings lost.

Although the team lost, we all have to admit they did a pretty good job giving the Cowboys a run for their money. It is no secret the Cowboys are the best team in the NFL right now and thankfully, that information did not get to the Vikings, and they did a great job keeping the score close and ensuring the Cowboys could not get too far ahead.

Unfortunately with this loss comes the news that the Vikings have to win their next four games if they are going to get into the playoffs. I am going to keep my fingers crossed and hope you do the same. The good thing is the Vikings should have a head start at the winning streak needed with the game on Sunday against the Jaguars who have lost the past seven games they have played.

This week I feel like I made the ultimate game day dish, something everyone loves and is a perfect finger food – Sliders. Honestly, who doesn’t love sliders? Being that they are so small, they are perfect to bring to a tailgating party or for your own tailgating party.

Ugh, the Vikings lost again, so much for going back to a winning streak. They did very well keeping the game close and right when Adam and I thought the game would go into overtime, they lost against the Lions, again.

The Vikings will have a lot of work to do from here on out if they would like to make it to not only the Super Bowl, but really just the playoffs. This week the Vikings are playing the Cowboys. This is not going to be an easy game for them, the Cowboys are on a 10-game winning streak. I truly hope that the Vikings can beat them but if not, I have prepared some delicious comfort food.

I made chili this week for the game. As the temperature continues to drop everywhere, including here in southern California, I have been thinking of all of the foods that I love to eat in this time of year. When you think about comfort foods, it is no surprise that everyone loves to eat them. They make you feel warm, full, happy, and often remind people of home and family, all of the important comforts in life, and every family has one recipe that is always made when comforts are needed.

Wooo whooo the wins are back!

The Vikings won this past Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals ending their four-game losing streak and giving fans something extra to be thankful for this year.

This week the Vikings are playing the Lions on Thanksgiving. The Vikings have already played, and lost, against the Lions so this game is a chance at redemption. During past Thanksgiving games, the Vikings have done a great job winning so let us all hope they will continue to win on this great day.
