Minnesota Vikings safety Anthony Harris is finally getting the recognition he deserves. The Star Tribune recently reported that Harris was Minnesota’s highest graded player last year, and Pro Football Focus predicts he will be their X-factor this season. It’s time for fans to really get to know the breakout safety.
This draft recap is written through the eyes of two veteran Viking minds. We felt it was important to use a well-rounded look at how the team’s 12 selections will affect the rest of the roster. One viewpoint is a little more optimistic and the other a little more… let’s say realistic. Here are our thoughts:
Multiple sources have reported that the Minnesota Vikings will host free agent guard Josh Kline on a visit this week. So far there has been no word yet on what day the visit will take place. Presumably Kline will come in for a tour of TCO Performance Center in Eagan and then be treated to a fancy steak dinner at Manny’s (if he’s worthy).
With deadline to pick up the option of safety Andrew Sendejo just two weeks away, the Vikings may choose to pave the way for his replacement.Anthony Harris impressed many with his solid play last season. In just nine starts Harris collected 46 tackles, 3 interceptions and 6 passes defended. He also finished with the team’s second-highest PFF grade.
Between the NFL Combine (February 26th-March 4th) and the 2019 NFL Draft (April 25th-27th) comes an important step in every team’s offseason process; the re-signing of internal personnel.
