First word: Blackmon had an astounding 2010 season with 111 receptions for 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns. Blackmon considered entering the 2011 NFL Draft an only announced days before the early entry deadline that he was returning to school. Blackmon is an explosive receiver with solid big-play ability. The question about Blackmon is whether or not he's simply a product of a spread offense. He showed in 2010 that he's perhaps the most consistent superstar in college football. Had more than 100 yards receiving and at least one touchdown in every game last season. His efforts earned him the Biletnikoff Award.

Bold statement: Blackmon will challenge Alshon Jeffery as the top wide receiver prospect in the nation, but his lack of elite size and speed will hold him back.

Notes:

-Blackmon's hands are really good and he's shown he can make tough catches over the middle in traffic.
-Doesn't always attack the ball when its in the air and has only average body control to adjust to the ball.
-Although Blackmon doesn't have the most impressive frame, he does a nice job of using his body to box out defenders to gain extra spacing for a reception.
-The Cowboys offense doesn't ask their receivers to run complex routes, so that's an area where Blackmon will be behind at the next level.
-Because Blackmon is regarded by coaches as a hard working player, his on-field fundamental issues should be correctable.
-Timed speed may not be extraordinarily great, which will have a negative impact on his draft status.
-Shows a lot of fire and always wants the ball in big situations.
-Was charged with a DUI in October, 2010 and was suspended a game. (It should be noted that he wasn't charged with a DUI for driving drunk... his actual alcohol level was unknown. He was charged because he was not of legal drinking age and he had traces of alcohol on him after being pulled over. Stupid nonetheless... just thought it should be pointed out - Brett)
