Randy Moss

Well, do we want to give the guy a shot at retiring as a Viking?
Today, on his 35th birthday, he shocked no one and declared he was un-retiring.

I say yes, give him a shot at making the team. If he wants to put in the work that it will take to compensate his loss of that world class speed he once had, then yeah, I'd say give him a chance. I'd bet he'd be real open to making the Vikings his last team. And Lord knows, we need receivers.

What do you guys think?

I think this might go against the theme of "getting younger".
- I don't think he wants to join a non championsship team either, so I really don't think it's realistic to see him in purple and gold again

I'm guessing that Leslie's answer would be "No" in the following manner...

"Randy Moss was, and may still be, an elite receiver in the National Football League. I know he provided Viking fans with some incredible memories during his initial days in Minnesota, and this organization should always be appreciative of his contributions. Our personnel department is always evaluating available talent around the league, and news of Randy's desire to return to the league this upcoming season has not gone unnoticed by our staff. As we continue to evaluate where we are at the wide receiver position, his name has been added to our list of considerations. At this time, it would be premature to suggest any level of interest we might have in him becoming a Viking again. Regardless of if or where Randy plays this season, our organization and staff wish him nothing but the very best."

Frans,
The work Randy needs to put in would have to include deep deep psychiatric help. He has always been the poster boy for taking his ball and going home if he doesn't get his way. This component isn't going to change in life of Randy Moss. We have some great memories of this guy taking the league by storm. Let's not look back.
It's kind of like that blond hottie you dated in in 10th grade who had that smokin body... She's now 61, wrinkled, 5 kids, 2 grand kids, divorced 3 times and generally a wreck. It doesn't mean she wasn't hot in 10th grade, but you sure as he'll don't want that in the back seat of your Olds 442 do ya? Hold on to your memories Frans!!

Wow, thanks Freds for wrecking my memories of my 10th grade girlfriend.
I guess you guys are right tho, Randy is probably still Randy and being 35, just ain't the same is it?

And by the way Freds, you may not believe this but it's the absolute truth, I was dating Susan Kieger (Google her) in my High school years in Northern California (You want to talk smokin' hot?). She went on to being the 1979, February Playboy centerfold. So, if you don't mind, I refuse to think of her as 61 and wrinkled. Going to hold on to the memory of the early '70's, thank you.

Frans,

You are one complex dude. First we hear that you did a little jail time with Charlie Manson, now hear you were dating a porn queen in high school? You're old pal did Google your old Gal's picture. You're right, she was an attractive one, though the still photo of her face was enough, Freds didn't dial up any of the kinky stuff that apparently is out there. Your old pal Freds doesn't get into that porn stuff.

It appeared in her later years she did a bit of modeling for McDonalds?

Nope, never said I was in jail with Manson, I said I was in the same cell he had been in a few weeks earlier.
It was in Independence, California and he had written WAY up on the wall; "Charlie Manson, the one and lonely"

And Susan was never a Porn Star when I dated her (She was just barely 18). Just one hot, smokin' Babe.

Fred's version is more interesting. Let's not screw up the growing legend of Fran the Man with a few meaningless facts shall we? By the way, Brett wants to know if your old prom queen has a twitter account.

Ok, I won't delude your legend of me with any facts. I did try to find her but other than some old facts about her, it doesn't seem she has any twitter or facebook stuff.
I wanted to get her on here to verify our old relationship but she seems to keep a low profile now a days. One thing I did discover tho is it seems she has written a book about her love of lesbianism! I guess after I left her, she couldn't find any men that could replace my. . .uh. . .talents and turned to women.
