Well in Denmark things aren't exatly cheap, but you will be assured healthcare and receive around 3000 $ per month if you are looking for a job but not able to find one.

Glad you made it back in, Fran.

Yeah, the snow is crazy this year. Even the old-timers are raising their eyebrows at this winter.

I can walk to my roof, can't see out many of my windows at home and at work. Was supposed to leave today to start a week-long work project in the interior, but the Rich Highway is closed because of avalanches. Its been crazy: buildings collapsing, boats sinking... people are running out of places to put snow. The piles the City have put together are a good three stories tall, if not higher... and the snow just keeps coming.

The Big Island is sure sounding mighty fine about now :)

Adam, were you born up there at the top of the world, or did you CHOOSE to live there? I have always heard how beautiful Alaska is, and I want to visit someday.

Malte, the more you write, the more I think about moving to your side of the pond......

Well one more nice surprice for y'all - We don't pay to go through the school system, instead we get paid when we are above 18 years to go to school. If you live home you will be get atleast 220 $ a month, and even more if your parents have a low income (up to 450 $ a month while stile living at home). When you move and live by yourself you can get around 800 $ a month, just for going to school.

No thanks Malte. If you study history and current events as I do you will find out that Socialism never ever ends well. Greece? France? Spain? etc. All in financial ruin because of Socialism. As the great Margaret Thatcher once said, Socialism is great until you run out of other peoples money. The USA has started taking this path and now we are over $15 trillion in debt with over $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities. Honesty, hard work and small government is the only proven way to go, Socialism, Communism, Marxism and whatever the muslim countries do always fail.

Sorry Adam but it really breaks my heart to hear stories of people being totally reliant on government. Never ends well and history proves it. Geez where's Freds on this? lol!!

I'll have to have you teach me how to post pictures in here, Brett. I have a photo of my "picture window" which is blocked 100% by snow (about 10' from ground level.

Haha! I don't know why it added all those %20s in there... it's really not that hard.

Just find the location of the image you want to link... and copy/paste it's address between two [img] tags.
