At the start of the offseason for the Minnesota Vikings they had their eyes on 4 possible new D-coordinators.
Raheem Morris, Steve Spagnuolo, Mel Tucker and Mike Singletary.
As of right now, Raheem is going to Washington to coach their D-backs, Mel Tucker will remain D-coordinator in Jacksonville.
Now that leaves us with the following : Steve Spagnuolo and Mike Singletary. Amongs the NFL Steve is rumored to be going Eagles new D-coordinator.
So that leaves us with Mike Singletary as the lone candidate to take over, but there is a joker. Fred Pagac could return for a second season as the vikings D-coordinator. Mike Singletary has never been a D-coordinator in the NFL and people inside the vikings organisation didn't have many positive things to say about Mike this year.
Vikings have to coach at the senior bowl in 8-10 days, so they have to make their decision on who they want as their D-coordinator of 2012 very soon.
Also other changes on the vikings coaching staff will have to made soon.
- I think i would prefer Pagac instead of Mike singletary as he seems that he just doesn't care. the ideal situation would be to land Steve, but chances for that are very slim.
How this will unfold will be interesting to follow.
