The 2012 draft was notable because of the amount of times the Vikings selected 2 players from the same team. USC, Notre Dame and Arkansas landed the Vikings 6 players in the top 139 picks.
So the odds are good that the Vikings might double dip once again in the 2013 draft. Here are some of my 2-for-1 specials you can look forward to this year.
If the Viking select Georgia's Alex Ogletree with the #22nd pick, look for them to score again with DT John Jenkins, or safties Bacarri Rambo and Shawn Williams.
If the Vikings draft WR Quinton Patton from Louisiana Tech in round 2, look for them to grab his QB Colby Cameron in the later rounds. Colby would be an ideal backup in our west coast system.
LSU can help the Vikings on the defensive side of the ball... Sam Montgomery, Kevin Minter, Eric Reid and Tyrann Mathieus could all be on the Vikings radar.
The douple dip combos this year are too numerous to list all of them, but you can list Alabama, Tennesee, Oklahoma and Texas as schools that want get in on the Spielman Double-Mint fun.
Share your favorite double dip combos for this year!
