The Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday signed two more former players from the AAF. For those of you keeping track, that’s five members of the former Alliance of American Football league have now joined the Vikings. All five play defense.

The Minnesota Vikings have added yet another former player of the Alliance of American Football league.According to NFL Draft Diamonds the Vikings will sign defensive end Karter Schult. Schult, 25, was a standout for the Salt Lake City Stallions of the AAF. In eight games Schult took down the quarterback seven times, which was good for third in the league.

There’s no question that a certain position group has plagued the Minnesota Vikings in recent years. The offensive line has been like a crack in the ceiling that keeps getting worse. You hope it’ll just go away but sooner or later you’ll have to patch it. Over time you’ll find out if your patchwork will hold or if you need to find a new way to repair it. Ultimately you’ll find out whether or not it’s part of a much bigger issue.

The Minnesota Vikings on Friday announced the signing of two former Alliance of American Football players. Defensive backs Derron Smith (pictured above) and Duke Thomas were added to the roster. Both players were with the San Antonio Commanders of the AAF.

The Minnesota Vikings continue to stay active during the latter portion of free agency this offseason. Recently the team signed offensive linemen Josh Kline and Dakota Dozier and also picked up former AAF defensive backs Derron Smith and Duke Thomas. Today, news broke that they will be signing quarterback Sean Mannion. Even so, it appears they’re still not done adding.

The Minnesota Vikings, needing some help at quarterback after losing 2018 backup Trevor Siemian in free agency, added some depth to the position on Sunday. According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the team will sign free agent Sean Mannion, who had visited the team earlier in the week.

The Minnesota Vikings on Thursday bolstered the depth of the offensive line, signing free agent guard Dakota Dozier. Terms of the deal were not announced. Dozier, 27, spent the first five seasons of his NFL career with the New York Jets, the team that drafted him in the fourth-round of the 2014 draft.

As the TCO Performance Center in Eagan prepares to host offseason workouts for the second consecutive season, the NFL on Monday announced the dates of each team’s offseason training program. According to the league’s communication site, the Vikings will start spring drills on April 15.OTAs, or organized team activities, will take place during three sessions starting in late May. The dates of those workouts are May 21-23, May 28-30 and June 3-6. The team’s mandatory minicamp will take place on June 11-13.
