Vikings Sign Tackle Arturo Uzdavinis

The Minnesota Vikings signed offensive tackle Arturo Uzdavinis Monday. Uzdavinis (ooz-duh-VENICE) is listed at 6-foot-7, 305 pounds. The 24 year-old played college football at Tulane, where he earned academic honors. Uzdavinis signed with the Houston Texans after going undrafted in the 2016 NFL draft. He did not make the team and spent the 2016 season on the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars practice squads. The Detroit Lions signed him this spring and then released him a month later.

In Minnesota Uzdavinis will compete against the likes of Rashod Hill, Reid Fragel, Austin Shepherd, Jeremiah Sirles, and Aviante Collins for a spot on the team. The Vikings roster now stands at 90 players heading into training camp.
