Vikings Training Camp Live 2016: Day 9 Walk-Thru
In less than a week the Minnesota Vikings will be suiting up for an actual game! Well okay, not quite since it is just a preseason game.
But still, some sort of actual, organized football is going to be played by the Vikings on Friday when they face-off against the Cincinnati Bengals. The team’s preparation for the Bengals begins today with their walk-thru and that begins..
Now!
10:30am – Some good news for the Vikings already this morning as some of their injured players are back on the practice field. It will still be a wait and see type situation on whether or not they will participate in this afternoon’s practice.
Brandon Fusco back working with the first-team offense in the #Vikings morning walk-thru.

Eric Kendricks back participating in the #Vikings morning walk-thru after leaving Saturday’s practice early.

All of the players are present this morning at the walkthrough. Waiting to see who participates.

10:40am – Cornerback Trae Waynes has had an excellent camp so far this year, so it is really no surprise that the Vikings have him working with the first team defense this morning.
Zim told me today would be the day they adjusted depth chart for Cincinnati.. So far notable starters are Sendejo and Waynes w first team
— Luke Inman (@Luke_Spinman) August 8, 2016
Waynes was taking snaps with the first team. Sendejo still at SS. Haven’t seen Sharrif Floyd do anything yet.

10:45am – Minnesota’s Sharrif Floyd has missed some games due to injuries in the past and it seems like the injury bug may have struck again. Although this is still just the preseason, it is not a good sign for Floyd if he is ailing before the season even begins.
Both Shamar Stephen and Tom Johnson appear to be taking first-team reps in place of Sharrif Floyd, who appears to still be out.

10:50am – Minnesota’s competition at center between John Sullivan and Joe Berger has probably been their tightest position battle of training camp. The team has been shuffling each player in and out of their first and second teams throughout camp and it seems to be no different today.
Starting OLine today w Fusco back..
Kalil Boone Berger Fusco Smith
Center job still very fluid it feels

#Vikings‘ O-line today: Kalil, Boone. Berger, Fusco, Smith

10:55am – Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson and fullback Zach Line are participating in today’s walk-thru while Floyd and linebacker Edmund Robinson have been the only two Minnesota players not involved with anything this morning.
Cordarrelle Patterson and Zach Line are participating. Only people I haven’t spotted practicing are Edmond Robison and Sharrif Floyd.
— Vikings Corner (@VikingsCorner) August 8, 2016
Looks like Sharrif Floyd and Edmond Robinson are the only #Vikings held back this AM in walkthrough
— Andrew Krammer (@Andrew_Krammer) August 8, 2016
11:05am – Minnesota had the day off from practice yesterday and they are apparently a little rusty this morning. Have no fear, head coach Mike Zimmer is here to give his players and earful and put them in their place.
Mike Zimmer really ticked off tells his team to start entire period over
— Chris Tomasson (@christomasson) August 8, 2016
Unhappy Mike Zimmer just restarted a walkthrough session.

11:20am – It is looking like the Vikings walk-thru is just about over for this morning. Check back here later today as we will have more live coverage of Minnesota’s practice this afternoon!
