Vikings Training Camp Live 2016: Day 9 Walk-Thru

In less than a week the Minnesota Vikings will be suiting up for an actual game! Well okay, not quite since it is just a preseason game.

But still, some sort of actual, organized football is going to be played by the Vikings on Friday when they face-off against the Cincinnati Bengals. The team’s preparation for the Bengals begins today with their walk-thru and that begins..

Now!

10:30am – Some good news for the Vikings already this morning as some of their injured players are back on the practice field. It will still be a wait and see type situation on whether or not they will participate in this afternoon’s practice.

10:40am – Cornerback Trae Waynes has had an excellent camp so far this year, so it is really no surprise that the Vikings have him working with the first team defense this morning.

10:45am – Minnesota’s Sharrif Floyd has missed some games due to injuries in the past and it seems like the injury bug may have struck again. Although this is still just the preseason, it is not a good sign for Floyd if he is ailing before the season even begins.

10:50am – Minnesota’s competition at center between John Sullivan and Joe Berger has probably been their tightest position battle of training camp. The team has been shuffling each player in and out of their first and second teams throughout camp and it seems to be no different today.

10:55am – Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson and fullback Zach Line are participating in today’s walk-thru while Floyd and linebacker Edmund Robinson have been the only two Minnesota players not involved with anything this morning.

11:05am – Minnesota had the day off from practice yesterday and they are apparently a little rusty this morning. Have no fear, head coach Mike Zimmer is here to give his players and earful and put them in their place.

11:20am – It is looking like the Vikings walk-thru is just about over for this morning. Check back here later today as we will have more live coverage of Minnesota’s practice this afternoon!

Thanks for joining!
