Make sure to check back throughout the draft as we plan to keep the board up-to-date with who is still available.
DJ Hayden at 88 is too low… Greg Cosell and Mike Mayock have him graded as the top corner.
Hayden is a high riser and a good story… This draft class is loaded with good corners, but I am not sure Hayden to the best one?? Not sure what Mayock is seeing… but 88 might be too low?
Great list, good job guys. I think this is a hard class to grade out.
Brad Wang and Ryan Allen in the top 120? Adam wants a punter!
188 for Landry Jones… Bill Polian (the GM that drafted Payton Manning) thinks Landry is the best QB in this class.
So, out of 200 listed… I only really see 2-3 guys that I would consider “out of place”… Outstanding Board!
I live in Sooner land Carl, and believe me Landry Jones sucks. He has some good numbers stat wise….but he boneheads it often. He panics, can’t throw on the run….
I have Allen at 75 simply because he’s the best punting prospect since Shane Lechler and maybe even better. I agree Landry Jones is too low as well.
Landry Jones had nothing to work with this year… he lost his TE James Hanna and his WR Ryan Broyles from 2011.
Joe Webb was drafted with pick 199 in the sixth round and John David Booty was drafted 137 in round 5. If the Vikings would draft Landy in the 4th or 5th round, I would be thrilled. I think he would be a great #3 QB for the Vikings.
For 3 years in a row Landry has attempted over 550 passes per year. For 3 years in a row Landry has thrown over 29 TDs per year. For 3 years in a row he has had over a 140 QB rate. For 3 years in a row he has completed over 63% of his passes. For 3 years in a row he has thrown for over 4,000 yards. Over the last 4 years he was thrown 15 or fewer picks each year. Oaklahoma was 3-1 in bowl games the last 4 years with Landry. Over the last 3 years, Landry is 32-8 as a starter.
Nothing sucks about that!!! It is not like Oklahoma was loaded with talent. Landry had 1 good senior team mate (Lane Johnson) and a couple good juniors (Tony Jefferson and Kenny Stills). I think all the hate toward Landy is uncalled for.
I understand he is not mobile, but he has a big arm and makes quick decisions.
If the Vikings can draft guys like Booty and Webb in rounds 5 and 6, I would certainly take Landy Jones in round 5.
